Joseph Snowhawk opened The Dance Collective in Old Town Arvada in May 1998.  The studio soon became the place in Denver to learn salsa and swing, and was at the forefront of the late 1990’s salsa movement in Denver,

Over 6,000 students have been taught to dance salsa by Joseph Snowhawk.  Most students are from the Denver metropolitan area, but many come from as far away as Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, and Vail to take classes.
